Having provided little or no input into the design, the builder's involvement is limited to trying to build the home by interpreting from the drawings what the homeowner and architect want to achieve. Because many architects are not up-to-date on residential building costs, a redesign of the original plan is often necessary. This slows the process down and creates an expense that could have been avoided.

The Design / Build process starts by meeting you at your homesite to discuss design and building options – noting issues relating to topography and zoning. Carefully planned integrative site and exterior design will enhance the natural beauty of your lakefront or rural estate property. We're particularly noted for shoreland zoning experience - building amazing homes on some challenging lakefront lots! We'll gladly discuss the opportunities and challenges your property presents.
